On the weekend of June 10th, 11th & 12th Chapter 475 will be riding out to the Black Hill and meeting up with Star Chapter 303.  Some of the area’s and sites we will be visiting are Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse (from the road), Needles highway

Lake Sylvan, Spearfish Canyon, Hill City, Custer State Park and Deadwood.  If you have any other suggestions please send them to me.  There is a block of room at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Deadwood, SD for the nights of the 10th and 11th, ask for the “STAR Touring” block of rooms.  Reservations must be made before May 10th, 2016 to get the group rate ($129.00).  All rooms are double queen rooms, the room rate of $129 is for two people per room, it is $5 each for additional people in each room.

Itinerary:

Friday June 10th â€" 7:00 AM Depart Marshall Perkins parking lot to Deadwood SD, Via Worthington MN.

                We have two options to get to Deadwood SD

                                Options 1 â€" Hwy 59 to I 90 (Worthington) to Deadwood about 7 ½ hours (not counting gas and lunch stops)

                                Option 2 â€" Hwy 59 to I 90 (Worthington) to I 29 (Sioux Falls) to Hwy 44 (Worthing/Lennox) to Deadwood about 9 ½ hours (not counting gas and lunch stops)

Saturday June 11th â€" Riding the Black Hills with STAR Chapter 303.

Sunday June 12th â€" Also has two options.

                                Option 1 â€" Depart Deadwood and return to Worthington, Tracy, Marshall and Minneapolis by agreed upon route.

                                Option 2 â€" For those who would like to make a fourth day of it, depart Deadwood and travel to Devils Tower National Monument WY to Miles City MT (Hwy 212), then Hwy 12 toward Aberdeen SD and home.  (about 830 from Deadwood to Marshall, 892 from Deadwood to Adrian and 933 to Minneapolis)  Option 2’s route is not rock solid but as it is the route would take you through MN, SD, WY, MT ND.
